If you are just getting into fly fishing we would love to take you out and show you how to fish on the Provo River. If you're travelling to the area and want someone to take you out and show you how to fish it, we can do that too! We aren't "guides", meaning we don't provide you with all of the gear you need, but we do have rods if you need to borrow one. We are teachers, meaning that we will take you out, show you how to rig your rod and leader, show you how to cast it, show you what water to look for, show you what flies you need, and finally, we will get you into some fish! We do lessons pretty much every day but Sunday, though we do urge our students to schedule on a Weekday to beat the crowds. We offer two types of lessons: Basic Nymph Fishing Lessons and Euro Nymphing Lessons. Basic nymphing consists of long-line and indicator nymphing. We will show you how to simply and effectively catch fish using nymphs. We don't use drop-shot or "bottom bounce" rigs. Though they can be effective, it's boring and it limits the water you can fish. We are trying to teach you to eventually lose the indicator(if you want to) and be able to fish anywhere, anytime. For Euro Nymphing lessons we will teach you how to catch fish on all types of water using short-line nymphing techniques. Because our schedule is filling up fast we have made some changes to make sure you get the best possible experience: 1. You must have your own waders and boots, but we can provide you with a rod. 2. We don't provide food, so make sure to bring a snack or lunch for yourself. 3. We will provide you with all of the leaders, tippet, and flies. 4. Due to time constraints we will be now only doing 3 types of lessons, 2, 4, and 6 hours. 5. We can do group lessons up to 3 people. It is $50 per extra person on top of the lesson fee.
