Our local picky tailwater trout can be especially cruel to us on certain days, and when they turn down all other offerings, it’s time to wake up the Sleeper Leech! We created the Sleeper Leech to have a “larger” streamer-style fly that could be comfortably fished on a Euro Nymphing rig and light tippet. It bends as you jig it, making it come to life before turning and falling in a straight line, similar to a real leech. We have had weeks in the Spring where this was the only point fly that fish would touch. The olive is killer on bright days, and the black is a safe bet in low-light conditions.
